Hire an English as a Second Language Tutor for Pilots and ATC Controllers

Want to hire an English as a second language tutor but aren't sure?

Yes use English in our day to day lives.  In fact you might even have a current ICAO level 4 or above proficiency exam taken already.  Do you still need one?

Yes and here's why:  Aviation English is unique and is best practiced with someone who is familiar with teaching it.

This includes special words and phrases, and it must be spoken clearly and correctly to avoid misunderstandings. Because of this, hiring an English as  Second Language (ESL) tutor can be very helpful.

An ESL tutor helps you improve your English skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

3 different options to move forward

Once we've had our initial consultation and you decide to choose me as your aviation English as a second language tutor then we can look at how to best move forward:

1 - pay per class.  This option is ideal if you want to pay as you take a class.  Each class is 50 minutes and is currently at $50 per class.

2 - pay for a block of lessons.  This option is for those who have decided to commit to my teachings and want to secure a block of ten classes.  The price is $300 per ten blocks

3 - pay if you pass.  Are you studying for a certificate or an ICAO test?  In this case you have the option to pay ONLY if you pass with my teachings.  The deposit would be $100 and depending on how many classes you take...if you pass you get half your money back.

So for example if you are studying for a private pilot course...not only can I, as a Certified Flight Instructor, give you ground instruction and even recommend you for the oral portion of your exam...but I can also assure you that if you pass...you'll get the deposit back as well as a quarter of the course cost.    So if you paid $100 (deposit) and for four classes ($200) then if you pass your test you will get $150 back.

What If you don't pass?

You'll get all your money back...no questions asked.

This is how committed I am to having you succeed in becoming a pilot.

When you sign up for my FREE consultation be sure to mention which payment method you'll want to take.

5. Personalized Learning
for Faster Progress

One of the best parts of hiring an ESL tutor is that the lessons are designed just for you. In a classroom, the teacher must teach many students at once, but a tutor focuses on your individual needs.

You can learn at your own speed and spend more time on areas you find difficult.

Tutors can also use examples from your real work. For example, they might use recordings of real radio communications or flight manuals to practice reading and comprehension.

This makes your learning more practical and directly useful for your job. Over time, you will notice progress not only in your English, but also in your overall performance at work.

so is an english as a second
language tutor right for you?

For pilots and air traffic controllers, English is more than just a language—it is a tool for safety, teamwork, and success. Hiring an ESL tutor helps non-native English speakers improve communication, learn standard aviation phrases, avoid misunderstandings, and build professional confidence. It also opens doors to new career opportunities and helps maintain the highest levels of safety in the skies.

By investing in your English skills with a qualified tutor, you invest in your future. You will feel more confident, communicate more clearly, and help make global aviation safer for everyone
